LOEWE Hessen ModellProjekt: Bestimmung der Wirkung virtueller Umgebungen

This Hessen Modellprojekt aims to estimate and predict the symptoms of motion sickness experienced by users of VR devices such as the Oculus Rift and Steam Vive. 

The project comprises several VR scenarios with increasingly intense rotations and lateral movements, where the relevant game events (player speed and acceleration, head movements) are captured and synchronized to the user's physiological response (Heart Rate Variability, Respiratory Rate, Skin Galvanic Response)

The aim of this research project is to successfully classify instances where users are likely to have experienced cybersickness by using deep learning techniques.

This research project was performed in collaboration with external technical partners (KTX Software) as well as german game development studios (Deck13)
