I am an Athene Young Investigator at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the TU Darmstadt. Since 2016 I am heading the adaptive overlay communications group at KOM.

Previously, I was Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick, U.K., and at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA.

Research Interests

I'm interested in building communication systems with provable performance. To this end, I use methods and techniques from stochastic modelling and optimization such as Queuing Theory and Network Calculus. Recently, I have been working on the optimization of adaptive communication systems within the collaborative research center MAKI. My work is related to the application fields of Software-defined Networking, Multimedia and Caching.
