Manisha Luthra joined the Master's course in Computer Science at TU Darmstadt in 2013. Besides the master's degree, she worked as a junior research assistant in KOM. During this time she focused on an objective assessment of the quality of experience in video streaming applications. Her master thesis work was recognized for the Mentoring Award from the DFG MAKI research project. After completing her Master's degree with a specialization in Distributed Software Systems, in November 2016, she started working as a Research Scientist at the Multimedia Communications Lab. During her doctoral degree, she contributes majorly to the C2 subproject of DFG MAKI research project and focuses on the placement and execution problem in the context of Complex Event Processing Systems.
Manisha Luthra is working with the Collaborative Research Center 1053 - MAKI funded by the DFG. Her work contributes towards: (1) better understanding on the behavior of operator placement mechanisms (2) cost-efficient transitions between operator placement mechanisms, (3) in-network processing, and (4) interoperability in the context of Complex Event Processing Systems.
