The master module "Application Protocols on the Internet" provides in-depth knowledge of application architectures and application layer protocols used on the Internet.

The module provides in-depth knowledge of application architectures and application layer protocols used on the Internet. Both, common client-server protocols such as HTTP as well as distributed architectures (peer-to-peer systems, blockchains, etc.) are considered.

The focus is on trade-offs between design alternatives and acquiring the ability to design and implement efficient and effective protocols at the application layer yourself.

The module is offered every third semester.
