Abstract: In the last few years the automatic sequencing of course material became an important research issue, particularly with regard to the standardization of metadata for educational resources. Sequencing can help to generate hypermedia documents which match the learners needs at its best. However, the generation of exercises is in most cases done manually. In this paper we propose an approach to generate exercises in an automatic way, exploiting the information which is already included in the knowledge base used in many adaptive hypermedia systems.
