Abstract: Resource-based Learning is a widely spread form of learning, especially in work life, with the necessity to gain knowledge and competencies based on a specific demand. Mostly, this form of learning is informal which manifests in the lack of integration in an institutionally shaped learning setting and a high level of self-regulation on the learner’s side. This article summarizes the challenges of informal, Resource-based Learning, focusing on learning with the help of internet resources, gives an overview of existing works which are addressing the affiliated challenges, and poses some further research questions.
