Short Bio

Tobi studied for a B.Sc. Business Informatics at the FernUniversität in Hagen and for a M.Sc. in Computer Science at TU Darmstadt. Since 2016, he has been working as a research assistant in the Distributed Sensing Systems group at the Multimedia Communications Lab. He completed his PhD in late 2019 on the topic "Data Management in Vehicular Networks", in which he assessed the quality of data to improve data dissemination in vehicular networks.

Shortly thereafter, he became Head of the Adaptive Communication Systems Group within the Multimedia Communications Lab, TU Darmstadt. He is currently a Senior Researcher with the Chair of Communication Networks, TU Darmstadt. He has also conducted research at the IMDEA Networks Institute in Madrid and at the University of Oslo. His current research focuses on enhancing the resilience of communication networks through distributed monitoring, adaptation, and artificial intelligence.
