Tobias Wies

Short Bio

Tobias studied computer science at the TU Darmstadt and received his master's degree in 2024 with the thesis "Unveiling the Scan Core: A Hidden Gem of Broadcom Wi-Fi SoCs". Since November 2024, he is a researcher at the Communication Networks (KOM) group.

Research Interests

His research focuses on Scientific Workflows and Distributed Systems, with a strong emphasis on low-level I/O optimization and steering. He is currently working on task-level monitoring with the goal to optimize I/O for multi-site workflow executions.
